Autumn 2021

30/09/2021

Coming from farming stock I often see autumn as the start of the year. My Dad who grows crops like wheat and Oilseed Rape in the Clacton and St.Osyth area has now finished this year’s harvest and is now busy putting seeds in the ground in preparation for his next harvest in 2022. If you are interested in how our food gets to our plates then have a look at our new ‘Field to Fork, Fresh and Local’ section of this website where we’ve got some short videos all about our sourcing and the provenance of what we provide to our customers.

At the cafe we are also preparing for a change of the seasons having gone through what has proven a hectic summer with lots of customers coming through the doors. We are now launching our autumn/winter menu with more of an emphasis on hot warming food - although we are still keeping our popular market salads on the menu. Our ever popular outdoor terrace area with its new sail style canopy will still be accessible for those who like to dine ‘al fresco’, so we haven’t given up on the chance of catching some sun in the darker months. In October we are launching a new look afternoon tea ideal for a catch up with friends or a celebration with a glass of fizz. Our new meeting room is starting to prove popular for those starting to re-balance home working with office life.

So please pop in to see us soon. Me and the Blue Garden team have got some new offers and some old favourites for you to enjoy.
